When did having an iPhone change from being a luxury, a status item, to being a necessity? Has it? Looks like it to me.
Where I live, it used to be only wealthy people, status-conscious techies, and rich kids who had iPhones. Now people have them who would surprise you.
My friend Ted, who only checks email because it is part of his job, has an iPhone, because his wireless provider was giving away iPhone 3. So he got one. Sue, who would rather play poker on line
