Central Texas is hummingbird heaven. It is in the center of the north-south migration routes of hundreds of species of birds and butterflies, but for some reason, hummers are the general favorite. There must be more hummingbird feeders per square mile here than any other place.
Some people sort of arrange their day around watching hummingbirds: morning coffee time if the feeders are on the east side of the house; cocktail hour if the feeders are on the west side, and so on. But far too many
