Martin Dies Jr State Park, Jasper Texas
Located in Jasper County, Texas, at the junction of U.S. Highways 96 and 190, Jasper is at the hub of employment, shopping and entertainment in this part of southeast Texas. Jasper is 110 miles north of Houston and has a population of about 7,500 people.
The growth of the city has been to the west with a new Wal-Mart opening a few years ago, along with many satellite businesses, such as merchants as well as eating establishments.
